What Denture Options Do You Offer?

In this video, Dr. Robert Harvey explores tooth replacement options, including dentures and bridges, to restore your smile.

Today, I want to discuss the options we offer to help restore and replace missing teeth, particularly for those who may be missing all their teeth.

Upper Full Denture:
Many are familiar with the traditional upper full denture, which includes a palate necessary to create a suction effect to keep the denture in place. However, this design covers taste buds and adds bulk to the mouth, altering the taste and feel of food.

Implant-Supported Denture:
As a first step in our implant offerings, we provide implant-supported dentures. These dentures have housings with little o-rings that lock the denture securely in place, minimizing the need for a palate. This design starts to open up the taste buds by reducing the bulkiness in the mouth.

Ceramic Bridge:
Moving beyond dentures, we offer a ceramic bridge option. Ceramic is much stronger than the plastic used in traditional dentures, allowing us to reduce the material in your mouth further. The ceramic bridge still uses o-rings but reduces the coverage drastically compared to a full denture.

Permanent Cemented Bridge:
Our strongest option involves more implants and eliminates the need for o-rings. This style of bridge is cemented into place, resembling the feel and function of natural teeth the most closely. This option completely eliminates the palate part, offering a permanent solution that feels like having your own teeth back.

These three options—implant-supported dentures, removable ceramic bridges, and permanent cemented bridges—provide varying levels of strength, aesthetics, and feel, catering to different needs and preferences.

We offer a no-charge consultation to thoroughly explain these options, allowing you to understand what we can do for you before any treatment begins. This approach ensures you can make an informed decision without any risk. Educating yourself on these possibilities can be a life-changing step towards restoring your smile and improving your quality of life.
